Can you read tarot cards? I need help interpreting this?

I have just got a deck of tarot cards and am trying to learn to read myself.

Can anyone decipher this reading and I can compare it to what I interpret.

I dealt 3 cards in this order.....

7 of cups

10 of pentacles

10 of swords

Can you read tarot cards? I need help interpreting this?
Here's my interpretation. Take note, I don't know what question you have asked your cards and I don't know what type of spread you are using, I don't even know whether the cards you laid out are either in the reverse or upright position. The basic divinatory meaning of your spread, which I will assume as in the upright poistion, as per Tarot de Marseille divinatory meanings would be thus:

7 of cups: There is a need to make certain changes regarding your emotions, you must listen to your intution and inner energy regarding the matter. There is however a sense of independece, success and progress.

(in relation to your question, and in relation to what spread you are using)

10 of pentacles:

You have achieved some sort of completion and success regarding your practicality and/or material wealth.

10 of swords:

There is a sense of completion as regards your intellect/courage/agression. As with such, it is the time for a new beginning and the end of one cycle and the start of another.

Please take note there are dozens of ways to read tarot cards. Take for example if you are using the Rider Deck and similar tarot cards, you will be reading using Waite's systems. There are tons of tarot readings systems out there. As for my interpretation of your readings, I am using Tarot Numerology and the Suit-Number-Key system.

Reply:You are in a very good place right now, a secure personal lifestyle. You have all you need. So don't let fantasy and wishful thinking make you feel like you are a victim. Don't let your attitude prevent you from appreciating all that you do have!

I have found that after we learn the general meaning of the tarot cards, let intuition take over for an analysis of the spread.

Reply:7 of cups: Reflection, sentiment, imagination, contemplation. Nothing permanent or substantial. Indulging in wishful thinking, having many options, falling into dissipation. Letting everything go is what the Seven of Cups is all about. When the Seven of Cups appears in a reading, it is important to look carefully at how disordered your situation is. Is everything too controlled and regular? Perhaps you need to let things fall apart a little. When a rigid system breaks up, there can be a tremendous release of creativity. The man on the Seven of Cups is amazed by all the options he has.

10 of pentacles: Gains, treasure; family matters; the family home. Enjoying affluence, seeking permanence, following convention. The Ten of Pentacles stands for the ultimate in worldly and material success. This is the card you want to see if you are wondering how your latest enterprise will turn out. Wealth and affluence are yours.

10 of swords: As it appears: pain, affliction, tears, sadness, desolation. bottoming out, feeling like a victim, being a martyr The Ten of Swords appears to be a card of terrible misfortune, but surprisingly, it often represents troubles that are more melodramatic than real. The man on this card has quite a few swords in his back. Wouldn't one be enough? Isn't ten a little excessive? Perhaps this gentleman's suffering - though sincere - is exaggerated as well.

One meaning of the Ten of Swords is hitting rock bottom. When one disaster follows another, we feel devastated at first, but eventually we throw up our hands and laugh. It's so bad, it's funny! In films, the hero says, "What else could possibly go wrong?" and we know that's a signal for the bucket of water to fall on his head. When you see the Ten of Swords, know that the last bucket has fallen, and you can expect a turn for the better.

Sometimes the Ten of Swords indicates a sad event, but you know when this is the case. There is not even a hint of laughter in your heart. Most of the time the Ten of Swords has a lighter side. It is as if your Inner Guide is gently kidding you about how you are handling your own personal tale of woe. When you see the Ten of Swords, check your attitude and know you've reached the point where things will definitely begin to look up.
