If it is only your faith that says that you can't, when other faiths say that you can or it is irrelevant if you do or do not, then maybe it is your faith that should be questioned %26amp; not the tarot?

Tarot are 78 peices of laminated card, they work via the subconscious mind %26amp; can open you to spirit, for some that means a closer relationship to God %26amp; others a closer relationship with then self.

It may be time to decide if you want a religious pathway or a spiritual one.

I wish you well x

Reply:Tarot cards originally were used to play a game similar to Bridge. They date to the medieval era in Italy. The trump cards (the extra 22 picture cards in the deck) had spiritual, philosophical, cultural meaning to the people of that time. In the 18th century or so, a French occultist, upon seeing Tarot cards for the first time, decided to make up a story about them being of Egyptian origin and having profound esoteric meaning. Because regular playing cards--and various types of picture cards and other objects-- were used for fortune telling all over Europe and the world since antiquity, Tarot cards began to be used that way as well. (so if Tarot cards are "evil" so is the regular playing deck and so are the tea leaves in the bottom on the pot, etc.

When Christians make predictions, they call it prophesying and claim it is all well and good because it is the Holy Spirit. When other people make predictions or use props to help them play with intuitive and altered-state conscoiusness, Christians call it "evil." That is an example of cultural bias. Christians who research the early cultural history of the development of Judeo-Christian religion will be shocked and amazed over how much "magical" practices were part of it.
Reply:If you "believe" that these tarot cards are evil, don't use them.

If you don't "believe" that they are, I see no harm in using them.

Tarot cards are taboo to many people, so are weegee boards, etc.... Many "believe" they are a form of witchcraft, black magic, etc.

It comes down to what you believe. In reality, they are just a bunch or cards with pictures on them, but they can symbolize something else to others.

A lot of things got labeled as "evil" when Christianity was created... they were mostly things from competing religions and faiths. For example, Poseidon was an important god before Christianity. A symbol he is associated with is a trident or a three-pronged fish spear. When Christianity took over, Poseidon's trident was turned into satan's pitchfork. ..which made anyone who previously believed in Poseidon to also be evil and worshipers of satan. This happened with many things...snakes/serpents are another example.
Reply:Why wouldn't you be "allowed" to use them? Tarot cards only hold power as long as you believe in them and what they're telling you. If, as a Christian, you only believe in the word of God, then you wouldn't believe in tarot cards and wouldn't need to use them. They're only cards, after all, and the way they fall all has to do with probability.
Reply:Just because there are angels on the cards doesn't make it OK. God forbade these kinds of things a long time ago.

It says this in Deuteronomy 18:9-14...

“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there. 10 For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering.[a] And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, 11 or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. It is because the other nations have done these detestable things that the Lord your God will drive them out ahead of you. 13 But you must be blameless before the Lord your God. 14 The nations you are about to displace consult sorcerers and fortune-tellers, but the Lord your God forbids you to do such things.”
Reply:i think there are tarrot users on the side waitin to put their thumbs down incase you say contrary(lol)... wtf is your question for? am i your father? can i stop you from doing it, like am some censor board asking if you're allowed and btw what do you want to use it for? where i am, we play card games ( whot, jokers) we gamble with them, so are you allowed? nah, go ask daddy and make sure you read the manual, who cares if tarrot is evil, at least you'll see your own future in it and not mine...but on a serious note, this things can help you understand certain occult principles, most books i have read have explained the whole pictures and symbolism although i do not play the cards... have fun if you do,,but if daddy or mummy dont like it , then dont play it, be an obedient kid.
Reply:The bible forbids that junk; it is of the devil; the devil will lead you into some type of bondage it's a guarantee and all the while he will make things look like nothing's wrong. Remember that he is a Master Deceiver.

If you wanna know anything pray to God as you know you should. My question for you is what are you afraid of that you would go to worthless cards instead of talking to God Himself about whatever it is?
Reply:Tarot cards are not evil. People involved in ceremonial magick or manipulations of forces for GOOD in the universe use the tarot to actually request whether a situation will benefit them or not if they use magick to manipulate it, therefore freeing up the concept of "free will."

Ex: "What would happened if I used magick to ______"

Don't believe the things your church feeds you about Pagans, Wiccans, or anyone who follows a "magickal religion" we don't believe/worship Satan. Just think of us as Jewish people who aren't Jewish, if that makes since.

Experiment with Tarot cards, do research but don't let people's perception of a religion stop you from learning.
Reply:Cards are not evil, people are.

One of the first decks ever created was made with christian imagery, even many decks after that follow these universal symbols.

Should you use them? that is up to you.

Some christians will tell you "No, it is a sin" - but there are quite a few christians that do read tarot and feel good about it, and are good at it.
Reply:Christianity is based on fear, not what Jesus intended. Embracing love and light within your soul no matter what religion you follow (or don't follow at all), you know that nothing and no one can hurt you..Not even your concept of "evil", not even your "devil."

Are you allowed? If you need a parental figure or judge, perhaps you aren't mature enough to harness a metaphysical tool's true potential.
Reply:The word Divination shows it comes from the DIVINE, God. Joseph used a cup to Divine, Genesis 44. And the Disciples threw lots, after calling on God, to pick another 12th Disciple in the First Chapter of Acts.

Only God makes perfect prophesies. When we deal with humans or lesser spirits, there is always room for doubt.

Readings are basically done for that moment in time. Getting

a warning of how things will turn out if we stay on the path we are on. So if one takes action to avoid an outcome. It can change the outcome.
Reply:If you believe they are evil you should not use them.

In my beliefs, they are not evil (none of them)... they are just tools that help you focus and bring out your intuitiveness. There is nothing scary about them.

It's all in how you look at things.
Reply:They're not evil, they're just useless.

Use them if you want. Or you could look at some tea leaves or the entrails of road kill on a highway, it will all produce the same 'revelations'.
Reply:Yes. There's nothing occult about them. They're merely a self psychoanalysis technique espoused by Jungian psychotherapists.
Reply:Yes.

There's nothing evil about them - but they're nonsense, just like.. um... the competing nonsense that declares them evil.
Reply:No! Tarot cards are a form of communication with demons! As a Christian, you need to avoid them or you might be possessed!
Reply:The misconception of "divination" as "evil" stems from the thoughts that we don't have a "free will" to change the future.
Reply:Tarot cards are only a way of getting in touch with yourself. There is nothing evil about them {{Hugs}}
Reply:they're cards.

just cards.

there is no magic in those printed pieces of paper/plastic.
Reply:...isn't is easy enough to simply trust that God will direct your life and future in ways that are good...
Reply:Tarot cards are just guides, tools. Nothing evil about them.
Reply:You and do what ever you want...Evil is only in your mind.
Reply:I dont think they are evil
Reply:NO NO NO

the Bible CLEARLY bans the occult
Reply:yes

dont be a christian
Reply:no, God says not to. :)
Reply:No...If you really want to know about your future pray about it.=)
