Question about Tarot Cards?

When using Tarot Cards is there a specific way to shuffle them? I know this may be a dumb question, but I'm still a beginner. And I truely believe in these cards because I did the weekly reading today and everything was on the dot just about. Please if you have any helpful suggestions or ideas(Besides burning them! If you leave a post saying something about destroying my cards I will report you! Some people are just not open minded...I'm sorry, but it bugs me when people say to burn or destroy Tarot Cards, but I know it's their opinion) please tell me....thanks!

Question about Tarot Cards?
I'd say the way Tarot Cards work is by tapping into the resources of your unconscious mind.

Therefore, as with any discipline which relies on the unconscious, like poetry or musical composition, the trick is to divert your conscious mind onto some other channel so that it doesn't get in the way too much.

This, however, presents the obvious problem of creating the *focus* you want, which is where ritual comes in.

I would say the best way would be to create a formalised method of doing it which you repeat every time and are comfortable with. First, the element of focus. Sit down, compose yourself, and decide firmly and confidently

1) what the subject of the reading is to be, and

2) what kind of spread you will be using.

Then comes the element of distracting the conscious mind: begin shuffling the cards, gradually letting your conscious mind slip away from the subject of the reading and on to something neutral and nonspecific (e.g. background instrumental music). Then as soon as you get an inner tug-at-the-sleeve, just whenever it feels right, stop shuffling and deal out your spread.

The important thing in all of this is that you feel comfortable and confident, and are not allowing your hopes, fears, emotions or belief systems to colour the result.
Reply:Begin with..Texas Hold'em
Reply:Don't burn them...cut them into pieces
Reply:Apparently you are not aware that the tarot was once a vital story telling aide, and now it has been turned into some stupid board game.

You would be amazed at the truth, so why not do a little research?
Reply:I believe I've read before that there are some specific ways, but myself no specific way works just fine. I don't do then often because the impressions drain me of energy to quickly.
Reply:I think you shuffle them till you feel comfortable to stop. Tarot cards can not be right on though because they are so vague and most of the things you pull up are relevant to everyone's life in one way or another.
Reply:Tarot cards are addictive and become false idols, its best to avoid them because they open you up to demonic influences. You really need to understand how deceptive they can be.Do some research about them and you will soon see the same.I am a very open minded person and used to be into all forms of astrology, tarot cards, runes etc.But I found out the truth the hard way,it may not be easy for you to believe that, which is why I am saying don't take my word for it,research it yourself.
Reply:BURN THEM THROW THEM AWAY. YOU DON'T KNOW

WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH. YOU CAN GET MAD ALL

YOU WANT. YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND.
Reply:start buying books
Reply:Hi, my mom and my aunt are really into tarot cards and I have them do a reading for me every once in a while. They know all the cards by heart and they are really good at it. When they do it, they shuffle the cards until you "feel" that you should stop or if a card falls outta place it means you should stop. Then cut the deck once in half then put it back together and do your spread...hope that helps.
Reply:Study the Qabalah and you will understand the Book of Taro. Otherwise, you are wasting your time. To understand one symbolic reference, you need its companion system.
Reply:There is no special way to shuffle them. Whatever way works best and feels right for you is fine. Personally, I tend to shuffle mine nine times before each reading, for symbolic reasons.
