Tarot cards set in stone?

I have a set of tarot cards but I'm having troubles with them. When I read them I don't agree with the generally accepted meanings of the cards. For some reason I see the cards as meaning something else to me, sometimes somethign completely different then what it's supposed to be. Does this mean if I interpret them with my meanings my reading will be off? Can the meanings of a card be different from person to person?

Tarot cards set in stone?
Excellent!

If you are using Tarot cards as an oracle, you may be more inclined to read card meanings. But if using Tarot Cards as a tool for Psychic Ability you would be less likely to hold to any hard and fast guide lines. I’m a profession psychic and use Tarot Cards in a random way. In 25 years of professional readings I’ve never used any ‘meanings’ of tarot cards from any books.

So if you want to develop ‘Psychic Ability’ throw the books away and let the images inspire you.

I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense. The Psychic Sense.

To tap in to it more you can go to my free develop-psychic-ability page here: http://www.psychic-junkie.com/develop-ps...

But on the other hand, if you want to use the Tarot as an oracle, a form of divination that needs no real ‘psychic ability’, then keep the books and use the meanings if you prefer.

Here is a free download demo for a great Tarot program. To keep the size of the demo manageable it contains the Rider/Waite deck, the actual program will have 10 complete decks. This Demo version of Tarot is a full working copy for 30 days. So you get 30 days to study meanings and spreads! http://www.free-tarot-download-demo.wots...
Reply:With Tarot, I find, that you need to look at your current situation and see what the card might mean. for example, the "death" card rarely means a physical death, it could mean a change in your way of life, a relationship ends ect.

PS: no its not the devil. please.
Reply:It is always best to interpret them according to your own feelings.

You are doing the right thing.
Reply:No offense, but don't get involved with Terot cards. They serve no meaning at all. There are demons that are involved in these type of things. You don't want to go there. I'll tell you something that is more meaningful and helps serve as a guidance to all mankind: The Bible is the answer to your questions in life. If you have one, you should read it daily. I'm not saying that you should read the whole Bible daily. But read at least 10 to 15 minutes of it at a time per day. Then meditate on what you have read. You will have a more meaningful life if you do so.
Reply:Tarot cards are BS...

I've seen several hidden camera investigations that show all these "readers" are doing in cold reading their subjects
Reply:No. It just means the demons are messin with ya.
Reply:Trust the cards, but make sure the deck is aligned with you. You won't get a good response fom a deck imprinted with someone else's aura.
Reply:a true reader of cards you may be.

the cards will speak to you and tell you their secrets.

there are traditional meanings associated with them. but this is mainly because someone needed to be able to package and sell them.

if the cards speak to you go with what they say.

the more time that you spend with them the better you will get to know each card, and the more information the cards will give to you.
Reply:sounds like you got a lot of "supposed tos" in your mind. Or perhaps that's indicative of the conflict you have within.

Reading cards "literally" according to "package directions" is not the best of readings...it is only a generic reading. It is not the prefered "should" as you would put it. But the best readings are done by skilled psychics who use them as prompts to "feel" meaning. Maybe that is what you are doing which is a progresive step in the right direction. I sense it is a little of both..expand and use your psychic senses but acknowledge you do have some conflicts. Are you having trouble accepting the obvious?

One last word: while it is certainly great to do your own readings, you will never be objective enough with yourself..get one from someone else from time to time. And loosen up. YOu are way to rigid with the shoulds
Reply:pangel is right--throw the book away--your own personal interpretations are what you should be going by anyway
Reply:Trust our own intuition. Book meanings are for people like myself who has trouble developing my own meanings. All the books I have point out that the book meanings are just a general guide and your goal is to develop your own meanings in time.
Reply:if you are reading a book ... and your insitinct is saying something different

it is time to throw away the book

this is what you should be doing in the long run and the book is only an aid at first

well done you and i wish you many long years of wonderful readings xx
Reply:Depends on if you are interpreting them honestly or bending them to what you want them to say. If honestly then I see no big deal...but if you are interpreting them for your own gain or to scare or manipulate others then it is wrong.
Reply:Yes, they can be very different. The most accurate meanings are those that speak to you. If you feel conflicted about what the deck is telling you, shop around for a different deck that you feel more in harmony with.
Reply:Tarot cards are directly of Satan.
Reply:MAYBE IT MEANS THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE MESSIN WITH THEM CARDS! JESUS IS THE ANSWER!
Reply:Put them in your a s s and do it.
