It sort of depends on your tastes. There are three easy ways to aquire cards.





1. You can order them online from Amazon or USGame systems.





2. You can go to your local large bookstore and they will probably have them. Our local Borders and Barnes and Noble have a huge selection.





3. If you are a into more of an experience you can try this link to find occult shops in your area that carry cards. This is the Indiana site and it has 26 shops depending on your area.

Now the hard part is the deck. I recommend going to a brick and mortar place as opposed to online to pick them out. A great deal of it is by feel and what resonates with you. If you are just starting out I would pick something straightforward like the Rider Waite deck. It has all the pieces and is fairly easy to read. Personally I am a big fan of the Thoth deck and the images just speak to me. So the most important part is to get a good book that goes with whatever particular deck you are using. Forget that little paper thing that comes with them.





Also I would highly recommend a great book by Mary Greer called Tarot for Yourself. It goes over how to read for yourself without getting in your own way.

Reply:Tarot for Dummies has a book and card set - call the largest Barnes %26amp; Noble in Indiapolis or wherever and I'm sure someone can track a set down.
