Are tarot cards really a toy or are they the real deal???

some parts of my family say that the tarot cards is just a game its not real...


some of them say it worships the devil...


some of them say it real


but which 1 is it??

They are a wonderful tool for psychic development, guidance, insight, divination %26amp; meditation.

Reply:Tarot cards were intended to be used for a trick taking card game. People mostly in Europe still play variants of the game. The early Tarot trump images do contain a Devil as trump 15 but this is a reflection of the Catholic cultural background in 15th century Italy during Tarot's creation. The Devil also appears in the Bible and Dante's Inferno. The cards themselves were not intended for devil worship and since they were intended for a game they are really a variant deck of playing cards.





What really gets some religious folks bothered about Tarot cards is that, rightly or wrongly, at least in the US and UK, they are sold for divination or fortune telling and not for games! A number of relgious faiths discourage the practice of fortune telling.

Reply:I think tarot is more than just a game. Saying that it worships the devil is just Christians spouting ancient hatreds against the ancient religions. Tarot is real in this way, I think: Life is energy and the organization of energy. Tarot cards can be a tool for focusing your energy. They are no more effective though than the development of your own insight. If you rely on them as gods, they will surely betray you.





Or you could just play a version of Crazy Eights with them...

He can even fabricate portents and make them come true, deceiving onlookers, an impressing them, so that they believe it is an omen from God. God's Word warns against any kind of spiritism, Deuteronmy 13:1-5,1Corinthians 10:21, it is wise to steer clear of all kinds of these practices, (spirit mediums, astrology,as well as tarot cards) , as a few examples.

Reply:It all depends on your personal belief, as far as I know. Like if you are totally against all that stuff and like are always saying its not true, its not real then for you it wont be real. However I believe in them, i mean who is to say it is worshipping anything, except what you beleave in. I mean yes you can use it for evil, but then you can use almost anything for evil as far as that goes.

But if you want to spare yourself a TON of suffering...in this life and the next.....don't have ANYTHING to do with them.
Reply:Tarot cards are a tool just like any other tool. The universe through divine creation (notice I am not defining that term any further) is perfect. Just like a tuning fork set to a note. You can read that note on the cards just like you could an instrament. I use them for magickal purposes and to check whether an action is well advised and timed. I look for road blocks and use them for personal growth.





To those who are just up in arms about the whole process I am amused. These are the same people who do not know that their priests were the ones using this and geomancy in the renaissance. Does that mean that they are all "evil?" Or perhaps people are simply scared of things that they will not take the time to understand. It is much easier to decry something than to learn the truth. That way you never have to risk changing your deeply held superstitions. Personally, I think that the most serious form of Devil worship is a Willful and emotional commitment to ignorance. Your milage may vary.

Tarot works in a similar way. Each picture is part of a bigger picture. The card meanings give insight and advice for your situation.
