What is the best kind of tarot cards to use?

I'm currently looking on ebay and theres thousands I want to buy but I want to know which is the basic pack and easy to use?

What is the best kind of tarot cards to use?
You want to look for a deck that speaks to you. The symbolism of the cards is what taps into your subconscious. So if you are familiar with or attracted to Egyptian things, you would probably what to try a deck base on Egyptian symbolism.

One thing I tell my students is to take a moment while looking at the deck and see if you have a response from your gut. Gut feelings are usually very accurate. If you gut feeling is not good, it probably is not a good deck for you.

Something else to consider, what is your source for learning? Do they base their descriptions on a specific deck. For a first time beginner, I usually suggest the Rider Waite deck. It is the deck use in the largest number of classes and books on the subjects.

Once you learn the basics from the Rider Waite deck you can then move on to a deck that is something that attracts you more.

But if you can find a book or lessons you feel good about, there is no wrong deck to pick. They will all start to open the connection with Universal knowledge.

Hope this helps!
Reply:My wife prefers the "Robyn Wood" deck... and I have to say, they are very nicely done...

They came with instructions, which she did not need, but I found them very informative (she says they're the only instructions I've ever read!). *smiles*
Reply:The kind that are flammable.....

It's of the demonic....get out while you can
Reply:Get a Rider-Waite deck for learning and select the deck that appeals to you personally.
Reply:Edible, strawberry-flavored ones. That way they will at least be of some use.
Reply:The kind with pics of hot chix on them!!!
Reply:Doesn't matter, they'll all corny.
Reply:NONE coz they are all fake and stupid
Reply:Pick the deck that appeals to you. One should just jump out and say "Buy Me!". Really, you need to be connected to the cards, so pick the deck that you feel that connection with.

The secret to reading, is listening to your intuition.
Reply:The Rider-Waite deck is the best for learning, then pick one that speaks to you. The composition doesn't change, just the artwork.
Reply:Don't use them at all! They are very dangerous, and you should try talk to a good priest or Christian friend that can explain better. They are not inoccent tools to gain knowledge, but are really not safe.

God Bless,

Elisha
