Are tarot cards seen as someting to be avoided...?

They are sort of mentioned in the same breath as things like Ouija boards...but it's easy to see how a Ouija board could be something dangerous. I can't say the same for tarot cards though.

Are tarot cards seen as someting to be avoided...?
Tarot cards are no more dangerous than conventional playing cards. Tarot cards were originally created in 15th century Italy for the purpose of playing a trick taking card game. In places such as France, Austria, and Italy, people still are playing card games with the Tarot. In a sense the Tarot really is a deck of playing cards. Most people, outside continental Europe, though, think of Tarot only as "occult" related. The popular media, and even the academic community for the most part have done quite a poor job of educating the public about Tarot cards. It should be noted that Tarot cards were not used for the occult until the 18th century. There is no reason at all to avoid Tarot cards.
Reply:Yes they are.

They're just a deck of cards, but instead of the pictures being of diamonds, heart, clovers, or spades...they're pictures that represent a "situation," in life. Quite a waste of paper in my opinion...especially in this whole "global warming," "be friendly to mother earth," age - honestly!

Have you ever played, Pick Up 52?

Try that with the Tarot Cards.
Reply:When you carry the highest card, no not really.
Reply:Hello Kevin

Ouija Boards %26amp; the Tarot are not evil, dangerous or to be avoided. They are tools.

The Ouija for spiritual contact, %26amp; if done from a wise %26amp; loving intent are wonderful to use. The worst that can happen is that fear from those using get the better of them.

Tarot are used for guidance, insight %26amp; divination. They are 78 peices of pictured card, paper isnt evil.

All Like Minded Folk Welcome
Reply:Yeah I mean those sharp corners can give you a papercut and I guess you can stub your toe on the ouija board.
Reply:Look up the term "Oracle" (and not the computer program).
Reply:The Bible strongly forbids the use of anything of this nature.

This is called soothsaying,fortune telling.

No one can predict the future but God.

If you rely on these types of things for your guidance you're allowing satan to steer you down the path of destruction.

This is witchcraft.

God sent His Holy Spirit to lead and guide His children through the journey of life.
Reply:Only if you want to avoid wasting your money.

Oh, and a Ouija board is only dangerous if you're dumb enough to take its advice or if you get hit with one.
Reply:Jesus says to stay away from all witch craft and sorcery
Reply:With anything such as spirituality, you have to tread carefully and know what you are doing, so avoid them only if you do not or cannot understand them.
Reply:For Christians yes.
Reply:Neither one are evil. They are only tools. If you use them for evil than they will be evil. Ouija boards are just fun or boring depending on how they are used. Tarot cards are only a means of guidance and self discovery. Hope this helps answer your question. In the end, you are the one controling the direction of your life by the choices YOU make, not the cards or Ouija boards!
Reply:No more than horoscopes. It amounts to the same thing.
Reply:Tarot cards are to be avoided. When used, one of two things happen:

1) Nothing because it's fake. You might get fooled by someone skilled at turning the cards.

2) You are in contact with demons.

The Bible tells us that 1/3 of the angels joined Satan in his rebellion and were banished from heaven. These are now referred to as Satan's demons. They are eternal spirit beings that mean to do us harm. They can control the outcome of tarot card reading in order to deceive and ensnare.

Either way (1 or 2), they are not smart to use.

Plus the Bible tells us that we are not to engage in anything of the sort.
