You can see the cards from hundreds of different decks and find which one is right for you. They even have a section for beginers that will answer a lot of common questions.

If you're a newbie just getting into it, almost everyone gets the Rider-Waite or Universal Rider-Waite deck first. Its an easy beginer deck and there are a TON of books on how to read it. However it is also really generic, and a good tarot reader is going to find something that meshes with thier personal style.

Now a days you cand find some of the most common tarot decks at chain stores like Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks, etc. However you're going to have a limited selection there of the most commercial and most generic decks. If you want something special, see if you have a new age store around. If not, try the net. You can buy decks off Amazon.com, ebay.com, and just google the name of the deck you want and you might be able to buy it. Also if your local town has a comic or gaming store (yes I'm talking Superman and D%26amp;D here) they might carry decks, or they might be able to get them through their gaming distributer if they go through a company like ACD (my ex used to work for ACD).

Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for!
Reply:Barnes %26amp; Noble.
Reply:Satan's workshop lol...WHY would you want to get caught up in that junk?!
Reply:magic shops; bookstores; you could probably find them online also
Reply:Most better bookstores like Borders or Barnes %26amp; Noble will have them in the new age section. If you're new to tarot, you probably want an all in one set that includes the deck and the book in one package.

Look for a set called The Gilded Tarot, it's an excellent one to learn to read with.
Reply:New Age store.
Reply:You can get anything over the Internet!!
Reply:You can get them at local market, in your town.
Reply:Border books or one of the big book stores have them and all the literature you would need. There are an unlimited number of web sites as well.

The problem is all the books/websites in the world wont make them actually work!
Reply:tarot for dummy's is really good start
Reply:Books a million...anywhere book stores are.
Reply:www.tarot.com or your local crystal shop.
